BWG & EA Stand in Solidarity with AAPI Community

Better World Group and our sister firm, Estolano Advisors, have been horrified by the escalating attacks against our Asian American community.
We stand in solidarity with our Asian American colleagues, friends, neighbors, and family members and condemn the racism, xenophobia, and gender-based violence that threatens their well-being.
The last year of pandemic scapegoating of Asians and violence targeting elders and women of Asian descent, is part of a long-standing, shameful and deep strain of hatred against Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) in American society. We need to talk about it and support our AAPI colleagues who are feeling the pain, fear, anger, and isolation of the impact of white supremacy culture.
We have to stand together, support each other, hear each other’s voices, see each other’s struggle. We have to stand up to these attacks.
Our Estolano Advisors colleague Winnie Fong has put together the following resources for us to use as we sort through how best to respond. Winnie is the chapter president of the nonprofit Project by Project, aimed at dismantling the model minority myth.

We also highly encourage people to participate in the Hollaback Bystander Intervention workshop training to protect our communities and our vulnerable elders.
