Our Team / Chelsea Lee
Chelsea applies her background in policy research to the firm’s clean transportation and natural resources space.
She supports campaign outreach and communications for the state’s clean transportation priorities, securing dollars in the CA State Budget for ZEV funding with a particular emphasis on equity. She successfully researched and recommended actions for the Veloz Electric For All campaign. Chelsea also leads substantive management of the Advanced Clean Fleets coalition, advocating for a strong state regulation that will protect communities from harmful pollution. Her ongoing research to align community amenities needs with respective funding sources will also support the Salton Sea Management Program.
Prior to joining BWG, she conducted multi-stakeholder outreach and communications to develop environmental sustainability programs for the Office of Sustainability at the University of California, Riverside. Her work in policy and data research, analysis, and reporting earned UCR high ratings in international sustainability assessment systems. She also united campus environmental and equity leaders to form both the Environmental Justice Subcommittee and the Ecological Network.
Chelsea holds a Bachelor of Science in Sustainability Studies and a Master of Public Policy from the University of California, Riverside.
